Chelsea beat Aston Villa 2-1 riding high on Frank Lampard's brace to stay on course for a third place finish in the premier league.

Benteke's 14th minute strike gave the lead to Aston Villa, but the day belonged to one of the greatest midfielder of Chelsea, Frank Lampard.

Frank Lampard went on to break Bobby Tambling's goalscoring record, scoring his 203rd goal for Chelsea to give them a 2-1 victory at villa park. Frank Lampard's first goal for Chelsea came in the 87th minute in a 5-1 win over Bolton on 23 Dec 2001.

Chelsea's all-time record goalscorer Frank Lampard said, "I've loved every minute at this club and I'm hoping to be here next season."
