DBS Bank appoints Rajesh Prabhu as India CFO



Singapore : DBS Bank, a leading financial services group in Asia, has brought on board Rajesh Prabhu, to head its finance function in India.
''Given Rajesh's extensive banking experience in India, we felt he would be well-placed to lead our finance function as chief financial officer as we embark on the next phase of our expansion plans'', said Sanjiv Bhasin, country head of DBS Bank India (DBS India). ''In his career, Rajesh has worked across a number of financial operations from Accounting & Financial Reporting to Capital Planning to Regulatory Reporting, and has a strong command over the management of our top line as well as bottom line.''
Prabhu joins the bank from German lender Deutsche Bank, where his job entailed management of onshore financial reporting for the Bank and its subsidiary, it added.He has also had a stint with IDBI Bank as the financial controller for the state-run bank, it added.
Prabhu described his move to DBS India as a ''refreshing new chapter in his professional life with one of Asia's leading banks, which would mark a new beginning of exploring new horizons.''
