Enforcement Directorate alleges K Kavitha paid ₹100 crore to AAP leaders

On Monday, the Enforcement Directorate alleged that K Kavitha, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader, orchestrated a conspiracy with top leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, to pay ₹100 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders.
Last week, the Enforcement Directorate arrested the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. She is currently in the agency’s custody until March 23.
In its statement, the ED asserted that ‘through corruption and conspiracy’ in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi excise policy, ‘a continuous stream of illegal funds in the form of kickbacks from the wholesalers was generated for the AAP’.
The Enforcement Directorate alleged that the 45-year-old BRS leader and her associates were involved in a scheme to recover the proceeds of crime that were paid in advance to the AAP, and to subsequently generate profits or further proceeds of crime from this entire conspiracy.
