Increased participation at Asia Pacific Maritime 2014

Singapore 19th March- The 13th edition of Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) Expo 2014  was inaugurated by  Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Transport Mrs. Josephine Teo in Marina Bay Sands .

Speaking at the function Mr. Roberto Cazzulo Vice President  of International Association of classification societies remarked ” Asia will continue to play an increasingly important role in shipping of bulk commodities and containerized trade to Asian countries , notably China and India….”

Dubbed the event ‘Where Maritime World Congregates’ the three day bi-annual event, one of Asia’s largest and leading maritime shows.

1518 leading international maritime exhibitors from 60 countries are participating the three day event. Even though this is the 13th, India is participating the first time. Two Indian companies registered in Dubai and Singapore are participating in the expo, while China with more than 70 maritime companies is leading the show.

There are over sixty experts presenting papers in various seminars.  The hot topics in the seminars are anti-piracy equipment, night vision gadgets and anti-collision equipments.

In three days, the event is expected to draw a record number of 15,000 visitors from over 60 countries, up from almost 13,000 in 2012.
